Product Information

French Beans, or Haricots Verts (French for “French Bean”) are also referred to as French green beans, fine beans, and filet beans are a variety of green beans that is longer, thinner, crispier, and tenderer than your average green bean.

Notes: Approximate freezing point 31.0° F. (-0.6° C.) French beans are sensitive to chilling injury. French beans may exhibit surface pitting and russeting when removed to warm temperatures if they have been held at temperatures of 3° C. or below. Chilling injury will exhibit itself as rusty brown specks and they may then become spotted and sticky when removed to warmer temperatures.
